Kathleen Conlee has worked at The HSUS since 1999 and oversees projects that seek to replace animals for research and testing as well as reduce animal suffering. Conlee’s work involves policy and corporate efforts as well as public education and engagement. Prior to joining The HSUS, she managed a colony of 3,000 monkeys at a primate breeding and research facility and then worked at the Center Great Apes, a sanctuary for chimpanzees and orangutans. Conlee received a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's degree in public policy.
