Member of the Board of Directors fo Maryland Votes for Animals

Dr. Joseph Lamp is a decades-long animal welfare advocate, a member of the Board of Directors of Maryland Votes For Animals, and a supporter of HSUS. Appointed by former Maryland Governor Parris Glendening, he served for 14 years as the only animal welfare advocate on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ 9 member Wildlife Advisory Commission: He is the first in the country to serve on such a commission. He wrote the first course for community colleges on “animal history and treatment in the United States.” Joe is a recently retired college professor who has received the NISOD award for community college teaching, and the teaching excellence award from The Johns Hopkins University.
